I directed, wrote, animated and performed the multiple voice over roles for this short. VisitBaltimore and I collaborated it to highlight the key features of Baltimore and promote its tourism. Because Baltimore City and Kawasaki City are sister cities, it was created for Kawasaki City’s centennial anniversary ceremony. Through July 2024 to March 2025, it has been displayed on various occasions and places.

This animation was shown along with Mayor Brandon Scott’s video message at the Kawasaki City’s Multi-Cultural Coexistence Forum concert to celebrate Kawasaki City’s centennial anniversary. The event was held in International Cultural Exchange Center in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa prefecture in Japan in July 2024 as a part of their international festival. It was free of charge for people to attend. A quartet from the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra performed in the concert on the occasion.

This animation was posted on Visit Baltimore’s YouTube channel. Kawasaki City published an article about it.   It was also presented at the Kick-off event of Japanese Film Program hosted by The Asian Arts & Culture Center.

It was on display in the lobby of The Visitor Center in Baltimore from November 2024 to March 2025.

Kawaski City’s Multi-Cultural Coexistence Department in Kawasaki City Hall has this video on display in the lobby since July 2024.
